Senior Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer

Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team developing intelligent automation technologies for health care.  This position will be responsible for component and system design, prototyping, design for manufacturing and manufacturing scale up.

Requirements

• Experience with design of precision, durable electromechanical systems in medium to high volume commercial products (more than 1000 per year).
• Experience designing precision rotating and linear translating systems in commercial products (e.g., spinning surfaces, translating surfaces with tight tolerance for alignment and durability)
• Experience performing tolerance analysis on rotary motion and linear systems
• Advanced skills in Mechanical CAD, particularly Solidworks; FEA experience preferred.
• Advanced skills in rapid prototyping, including 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLS, SLA) and CNC.
• Innate ability to rapidly prototype, test, iterate, and advance.
• Advanced hands-on skills in prototyping and basic shop tools.
• Experience selecting component suppliers based on long term reliability
• Understanding of GD&T and mechanical part inspection processes
• Understanding of document control and PDM systems
• Familiarity with basic electronics design and connectivity
• Detail-oriented and a willingness to work hands-on in a team environment
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. (Citizen or approved Work Authorization)

Education                                                

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering required; Masters preferred
